You like Zappa don't you?

No1r responds:

Hey buddy thanks a lot!
Sure i like master Frank: not everything he have done but was definately a genious!
I would love to have a Gibson too.. i'm using my Ibanez at the moment, to record those guitars.
Cheers.

....dude

i have to concurr with the other peepz... bring out a funking album you freak >8(
I don't know whether I should place this one or bringing saxy back on the top of my faves list. This track is damn sweet, I like everything, and a great voice. (reminds of KB lawl)
And like larry here, I as well have a unexplainable fetish with lfo pitch modulation. I just came!

I smell stolen...

IF you did produce this yourself, massive kudos, please PM me your MSN, whatever, WHAT THE FUCK are you doing on newgrounds and not doing on massive record labels?!

IF you didn't, i have to tell you this is a good attempt to win the MAC and win money without even producing a track for it.

I'm sorry if you actually made this and feel shitty because of what i said here, but really now, this is from what i hear one of the slickest audio productions in the portal, it sounds too professional to be on here.

Could be just me though.

boomba responds:

Thanks, I think.

I did write this track, my husband helped me along with the production bits (I suck at mastering) I don't think I should be on any label as I don't have the time to put into writing tracks anymore. I saw a dnb contest and decided that I should dust off the keyboards.

I'm glad you liked it, I'll let my hubby know that too.

hidden pizzi's :D

you release tracks like this just like it's nothing... dude, this is brilliant!
very psychedelic, which is great. loving the portamento pads.
reminds me of many of your tracks, including machine-face, stringed pie, and meel.
really awesome, just perfect.

It's official...

Best piece of sound ever submitted to newgrounds, and propably the piece of sound that's gonna wow all the labels you have to send this.
Enough said.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

i beg to differ but thanks for your suggestions and support. you rule, post some more mooosic

dude

you pulled it off! you pimped it!
seriously, awesome glitching, GREAT panning stereo effect in the buildup, actually, better build up anyways now, i really like the last chords of the intro theme. it's so nice how the sweet bass goes with the lo-fi drums. and the mix is actually awesome polished now. Though i thought the vocals could stand out some more, like in the previous one. And the sax could have a bit more high, in my opinion.
The guitar sits awesome in the mix, really nice pluckings. Overall, this is even more awesome than the last one, though i think you could do a bit more saxophone lines in here.
Actually the build-up really stands out, it's damn awesome, a lot better than the intro you had first, which wasn't bad, this one is just great.
I told you yesterday about a track by luke vibert which was my favorite track then. scrap that, this is now my fav.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

damn, looks like i'm not finished yet with this darned track.
you're bang on about it needing more sax lines, i think the mid section could definately benefit from some variation in the sax and clarinet parts.
anyways, like i said, go check out myspace.com/jaggajazzististhesound and listen to airborne, then that'll be your favourite track instead.

dude

this is the same rhodes sample you used for your track 'enema'.
not that it doesn't sound good, it does, but i really hate it when people just layer samples, and claim it their own work.
ever wonder why some artists spend months creating their tracks?
they do everything themselves, and IF they rip stuff off, they do it in a original way, and dont just put some sample in there without altering it.
Using the samples you used for this, this track could propably take minutes to produce.
please tell me it's not true that you just layer samples and therefore wish to get a record deal.
please tell me it's your own work and i'll give you 10/10 reviews from now on for being so.... wrong.

great.

honestly, the first track of yours that i personally like.
It spunds a bit like K&D's works, which would be a major compliment and improvement.
One question though, it sounds like you took most of these sounds off dnb sample packs, but if it's not that, i'd give you major kudos and 10/10.
but i honestly dont believe that you would be able to produce all these sounds in under a week, and it sounds really as professional as it would when taken from sample CD'd.
I'm not being harsh here, I'm just wondering if these are YOUR sounds, and not some samples you put together.

Spikrodd responds:

THese happen to be my own samples. They have been distorted, reeverbed, overdriven, and a host of other effects. It took me around 4-5 days actually. The song was just gonna be a Jazz-Step piece, but i listened to Vault and got the idea of it switching from light to heavy.

Although the 303 effect and most of the jazz instruments were taken from a sample CD. the 303 is a VST i overdrived, reeverbed, delayed and distorted it. It took a good bit of experimentation to execute correctly. The drums itself took 2 days. The bass was the fastest thing to do. like 15 minutes actually. XD

I enjoyed making it, and im glad you enjoyed it as well.
